Surgery & Fillings Needed
Well, Nathan went to the dentist yesterday and he has two cavities. I guess his back teeth have really deep crevices in them that makes them really hard to clean out. I think I have the same issue since all of my back teeth have fillings as well. He goes in October and gets the fillings. They are small so he doesn't need to get numbed up which is good! He did a really good job at the appointment and he got a miniature toy camera as a prize. His favorite thing now is to make you say cheese and take your photo.
Jacob went back to the doctor today and he still has fluid in one ear. The other looks pretty good. The doctor suggested and we agreed that we are going ahead with tubes. He has his surgery on August 7th in the wee morning. We are hoping that really helps him out. I am getting a little tired of going to the doctor every month!

Job News from DW!!!
Well, it's now official. I have resigned my role from Southeast this week. I've been here for about a year and a half, and it's been a good ride. I've made tremendous foundational differences in both technology and overall staff culture.
Where am I going?
Well, I'm excited to say that I'm going "back" to a former church! In mid-August, I'll be rejoining the team at LifeChurch.tv as their Senior IT Architect. I'll be intimately involved, again, with the communication foundation for their national and international expansion. I worked at Life for several years from late 2003 until mid 2006 as their IT Director. I was there through 4 campus launches including their Internet Campus where I'll be regularly attending - probably most often on Tuesday evenings.
That's that! I'm excited and looking forward to two things in the next few weeks a) our big anniverary trip to Vegas and places West, and b) going back home to LifeChurch.tv to serve alongside an awesome team leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Stay Tuned!
Update 220pm EDT: No, we aren't moving to Oklahoma. We're staying in Kentucky. I get the privilege of working remotely - at home, Panera, coffee shops, etc. I'm both excited and scared of that particular part - scared because I'm an extreme extrovert, but excited because I'll be able to forge new friendships as a Jesus Geek Gypsie :)

Ear Infections and Potty Training, oh my!
Jacob has been super fussy the past few days. I took him to the doctor today and the ear infection monster is back. Ugh! He is on some medication and he will go back in 2-3 weeks. If it is not cleared up by then I think tubes are in his future. It kind of stinks though because the doctor said kids usually grow out of this by age 2 and he is not far off from that.
On a happy note, Nathan has really been doing well at potty training starting just last night. He finally started to tell us when he had to go. He says, "the poo poo is coming" whether he has to go #1 or #2. Ha! He has been doing pretty well today as well. He had a few accidents, but it is kind of hard when he is at YMCA childcare. I am glad it is the weekend and we can really work with him now. I can get used to this no diaper changing thing for him!

Hunter Gathering
This past weekend we went to visit Daryl's sister and family. His mom and dad and brother and family were there as well and we made a weekend out of it. It was filled with swimming, cook outs, eating, sandboxing, sliding, swinging, and lots more. We had a great time and the cousins had a blast playing with each other. Here are a few pictures of the boys...
